The sebaceous gland present in the scalp, produces sebum which is mainly composed of fatty acids. Sebum provides protection to hair and scalp from drying and dullness. Usually different categories of shampoo are available in the market. Some contains sulphates, some are acidic. Sulphate containing shampoos remove natural oils including hair dye from hair. Sulphate free shampoos are less harmful for hair dye. However sulphate is responsible for foaming quality of shampoo. Acidic shampoos are good for washing hair as they don’t remove the natural oils and hair dyes.
After applying shampoo, massage the scalp gently with finger tips. This will help to increase blood circulations on the scalp and wash away of the oil dirt and grease. Good blood circulation of scalp helps to make the root of hair stronger and healthier. Then rinse hair with water thoroughly so that shampoo will be washed away from hair.
